FAQs
What is your goal for every child or teen you work with?
What age groups do you work with?
I work with children, teenagers, and young adults, as well as supporting mums and families when needed. Sessions are tailored to each individual's age, needs, and goals.
What issues can you help with?
I support young people with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, confidence, self-esteem, emotional regulation, school-related stress, friendships, motivation, mindset, and personal development.Â
Do parents attend the sessions?
This depends on the age of the child and their individual needs. Younger children may benefit from parental involvement, while teenagers often feel more comfortable having their own space. We will discuss the best approach together.
How long is a session?
I allow up to 2 hours for the first two sessions. Building trust and rapport is one of the most important parts of the process, and I never want a young person to feel rushed.
During these initial sessions, I take time to understand their unique situation, communication style, language, and behavioural patterns. This helps me identify the most effective ways to support them and create an approach tailored to their individual needs.
In many cases, two sessions are all that is required to help a young person gain clarity, confidence, and practical tools to move forward. However, every individual is different, and the number of sessions needed will depend on the person and the challenges they are facing.
Any follow up sessions, if required, are typically 1 hour in duration and focus on implementing strategies, developing skills, and supporting ongoing growth and progress.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes, I offer both online and in-person sessions, allowing families to access support in a way that works best for them.
How many sessions will my child need?
In many cases, two sessions are all that is required to help a young person gain clarity, confidence, and practical tools to move forward. However, every individual is different, and the number of sessions needed will depend on the person and the challenges they are facing.
What programmes do you offer?
I offer a range of supports for young people, including:
• One-to-one support sessions for children and teenagers
• One-off Study Skills Sessions
• A Mentoring Programme for 3rd Year students preparing for the Junior Cycle
• A Mentoring Programme for 6th Year students preparing for the Leaving Certificate
• Support for confidence, anxiety, emotional wellbeing, motivation, mindset, and personal development

All supports are tailored to the individual, ensuring each young person receives the guidance and tools that best suit their needs.
Is everything discussed confidential?
Confidentiality is very important. However, if I believe a young person is at risk of harm, I have a duty to take appropriate steps to ensure their safety. This will always be handled with care and professionalism.
What makes your approach different?
I focus on building genuine connections with young people, creating a safe, supportive environment where they feel heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is to help them develop confidence, resilience, and the tools they need to thrive.
Do you support mums as well?
Yes. While my main focus is supporting young people, I also work with mums who are navigating challenges such as parenting, confidence, overwhelm, life transitions, and creating a more balanced family life.
