Have you ever wanted to go back to the maternity and ask for the manual on how to raise your kids?
And then you realise there is none!

Not only have you to worry about your own life but you now have to navigate your way with tiny humans on board. You are somehow managing to get through the younger years and then overnight the tween becomes the teen and off they go to secondary school. You have it all mapped out….they will do their homework, follow a plan and study for 3 hours every night, 5 at the weekend, get loads of points and then off to college and job done! “That was easy”…. Said no parent ever!

The reality is slammed doors, hormones mixed with peer pressure, anxiety, discos and parties, along with a severe allergic reaction to study, which causes you to have what feels like a nervous breakdown! If this feels familiar and you are on the brink of loosing it or have lost it then maybe I can help.

About the Teenaider

I’m Margaret Naughton, otherwise known as The TeenAider. As a teacher and a parent I know that children and teenagers can go through challenging times, socially, emotionally and academically. Whether in the classroom or at home happiness is fundamental to our children’s development and success. This led me to further enhance my own study and training in NLP, QTT and Heart Math and I now love to share these amazing and life changing techniques with children, teenagers and their parents.

What My Clients Are Saying

  • “Our son was only 7 and was being bullied in school. He was so anxious and we just did not know what to do. We spoke with his teacher and the school but things did not change. We went to hear a talk that Margaret was giving about helping your child to be Bullyproof and then took Eoin to see her. We could see a difference in him after 2 sessions. She helped him to talk about how he was feeling and how to change those negative feelings into positive ones and also she taught him some simple techniques that he could use in school. The results were so noticeable that the school brought Margaret in to give a talk to the teachers on how to deal with these situations. Eoin is in now in secondary school and we have brought him back to Margaret help with making that change and to help with study skills. She has a great way with kids and teenagers and she connects easily with them. We are delighted we found her.”

  • “Margaret worked with our daughter while she was in leaving cert. She was extremely stressed and wasn’t coping very well with pressure. She showed her breathing techniques that helped with the anxiety and also gave her practical steps to help organise her study which really helped with the overwhelm. For us as Parents it was a great relief to have someone to turn to as Margaret knew the pitfalls that were approaching at the different stages especially coming up to the mocks and from her experience was able to guide us through it as it was our first time having a student doing the Leaving. We needed the help just as much as Roisin did.”

  • When our daughter started secondary school we noticed a change in her. She became very withdrawn and anxious. We brought her to see Margaret and immediately we could see the difference in her. She helped her to identify with how she was feeling and taught her how to let go of the feelings that were causing her the most bother. Before we went to see her Niamh used to spend her lunch time in a classroom by herself ..now she has lots of friends and is happy going to school. She gave her 2 simple techniques that she is able to use herself now whenever she feels she needs a bit of help.

  • “After my husband and I separated I noticed that my son started to loose confidence in himself and was feeling sad most of the time. I brought him to Margaret and she helped him to express how he was feeling about the separation and also to let go of the sadness. Margaret has a way of connecting with teenagers and she makes them feel so at ease. As a parent I felt that also. She is able to work in an upbeat but sensitive manner at the same time. I sat in at the start of the session and could see how Darragh connected with her immediately. When I picked Darragh up after the session he had a smile on his face that I had not seen in a long time.”

  • “We booked our son into one of Margaret’s Study Skills Seminars as he was starting secondary school. It was a huge help as Margaret also goes through the content of the seminar in a Facebook group for parents so we are able to have an idea of how to help them at home.  I really felt that going to the seminar helped Aoibhe to settle in faster and get a handle on all the changes. Thanks Margaret.”
